HDR-1 Heavy-Duty Luggage Rack

Dobie was very disappointed when his factory luggage rack broke with his auxiliary fuel tank on it. That's when he learned that the weight rating on the factory rack was only 10 lbs. Some other factory racks are only rated for 6 lbs.! They are constructed of very thin-wall tubing, hence the low weight capacities.. His tank, with fuel, weighed a little over 20 lbs. So he designed and is producing this solid billet rack which will easily carry 30-40 lbs. or more. The center portion of the rack is machined from solid 1/2" plate 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum. The side plates, with built-in receptacles for bungees, are machined from 1/4" plate of the same material. Mounts to stock Honda side rails, not included. (Does not include backrest.)
